Visual Arts Integration from the Art Room K-2
with Rachel Davis
In this session, participants will get insight into arts integration ideas from the perspective of the art room. Typically arts integration is used by classroom teachers were classroom standards are taught through an art form. The student will learn that classroom standard(s) while also completing all 4 stages of the creative process (create, respond, present, connect).
In this session, we will explore a variety of arts integrated ideas for the visual arts teacher to help connect classroom content to the art room. A few helpful material management ideas for young learners will also be addressed, as this can be a difficult area for art teachers that do not have an elementary classroom background of management.
